To alleviate my own wanderlust for NYC, I gathered up a few of my favorite New York tips and ideas from our last visit. So here is some photographic inspiration for things to do in New York City, for your next trip (or just for eye candy!).
To prevent shopper & sightseeing exhaustion, get a killer pastrami sandwich at this iconic deli.
Browse the stalls of local artists and artisans at Brooklyn Flea, then grab a lunch to go from one of the food vendors at Smorgasburg and take in the view of Manhattan.
Get up early to see the sun paint the quiet streets golden, then reward yourself with a classic New York breakfast place, like one of my favorites, Sarabeth’s.
Wander around Williamsburg and soak up the street art, unique small shops and cafés and artsy hipster vibe.
Wait till dusk to go a rooftop bar or one of the city’s many observation decks, like Top of the Rock, to get the most amazing photos of the world’s most famous skyline.
Don’t forget to look up every once in a while when speeding from one attraction to the next, so you don’t miss great design details and cool angles of familiar skyscrapers.
Get a mid-shopping drink in a small neighborhood bar that is NOT mentioned in a guidebook. You’ll most likely be pleasantly surprised.
Get away from the crowds and see all the street performers and the zoo in Central Park. Plenty of cool photo opportunities and cute squirrels here.
9/11 Memorial and Museum is emotional and magnificent. A true must-see to fully understand the scale of what happened.
Sometimes the best attraction of New York City are the New Yorkers – people watching is at its finest here. Score a window seat in one of the many coffee shops and watch the Manolos click by.
Hope you found some fun ideas for your next trip, please share the post if you liked it!
