Best cursive, hand-lettered fonts that are affordable (5 bucks or less!) and perfect for cards, blogs, crafts and all kinds of projects where you need a beautiful handwriting font.
The reason why I love handwritten fonts is that they always add that special human touch to any text, because they don’t look computer-generated and cold like standard fonts. There is a time and place for regular fonts, such as a blog post (writing a whole post in a calligraphy font would look ridiculous), but whenever you want to convey a feeling with the text, like in logos, greeting cards, thank-you notes, invitations or quotes, handwritten script fonts are the way to go.
Luckily there are so many options available today, and digitizing your own handwriting is pretty easy these days as well, but if you’re like me and get kinda scared at the sight of the Photoshop control panel, grabbing a ready to use, pretty font is the easiest path to creating fun font stuff.
I have a bit of a hand-lettered font obsession which you can see if you take a look at my Pinterest board called blog design, but to my defense, it is one of my most popular boards ever, so I guess a lot of you also share my passion for great typography!
However, as a self-confessed font collector, I know the one thing that stops me from overloading my computer with new fonts is that the best ones always cost some money. And as great it would be to be able to support all the designers out there for creating such beautiful art for other, less technically inclined people to use, I just don’t have the funds to shell out 30 or 40 bucks for one font, no matter how beautiful. So, below you will find a collection of some of my favorite affordable handwriting fonts that all cost 5 dollars or less. Have fun!
I hope you found some ideas for affordable fonts for your projects!
Till next time,
